MRI Error

Something you may not have known------> It is imperative that a patient complete an MRI in the position that exposes the pain.

Let's think about it... when we think of an MRI, we typically think of a patient in what position? Flat on their back/supine right?

Research shows 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝟓𝟐% 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞/𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐑𝐈'𝐬. So, over half of all patients receiving MRI's are not receiving a true reading simply due to their positioning during screening.
